For Employees For Employers

We counsel and represent private and public sector employees in all aspects of employment law, including mediation, negotiations, litigation, and appellate work. We provide consultation services to individuals to assist in determining whether there has been a violation of applicable employment laws and then to help craft the best strategy for remedying such violations. Our work on behalf of employees includes handling:

  • Discrimination and Retaliation Claims, with an emphasis on Disability Discrimination
  • Accommodations for People with Disabilities
  • Family and Medical Leave Act Matters
  • Employment Contracts and Executive Compensation Agreements
  • Non-Compete, Non-Solicit, and Confidentiality Agreements
  • Severance Agreements
  • Wrongful Discharge
  • Wage and Hour Violations
  • Disability Retirement and Long-Term Disability Benefits
  • Whistleblower Claims
  • Privacy in the Workplace

We consult with, advise and represent employers, small businesses and non-profit organizations in all aspects of employment law, including policy and handbook drafting, writing employee contracts and severance agreements, providing management training, defending EEOC and OHR Charges, handling workplace investigations, and participating in mediation, negotiations, litigation, and appellate work. With our clients, we analyze whether an employment-related decision is lawful. If it is, then we consider whether, from a "best practices" perspective, the decision is the most suitable one for handling the particular employment problem at hand. If it is not, then we devise other solutions. Our work on behalf of employers includes:

  • Representing management in connection with Charges filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state and local Offices of Human Rights
  • Developing Employee Handbooks and Policy Manuals
  • Creating Employment Contracts
  • Drafting Non-Compete, Non-Solicit, and Confidentiality Agreements
  • Formulating and Writing Severance Agreements
  • Conducting Training on Employment Laws
  • Performing Workplace Investigations
